Why Morpheus 8 Microneedling?

Why Morpheus 8 Microneedling?

Microneedling is one of the most popular, cost-effective treatments on the market and offers a great option for patients who want to improve the appearance of facial wrinkles, acne scarring, and their overall radiance, but are not interested in fillers or Botox.

InMode Medical Microneedling, known as Morpheus 8, is the gold standard for facial wrinkle reduction, enhanced collagen production, and acne scar treatment and is a force to be reckoned with.  This technology is different from all the others in that is incorporates radiofrequency – or waves of energy to heat the underlying skin, triggering collagen and elastin production, thereby tightening, firming and plumping the skin’s appearance.  This technology actually offers the deepest fractional technology on the market to best target deep layers of your skin and remodel your collagen.

During the treatment, this device uses small punctures in the skin to promote a collagen-stimulating healing process.  This controlled trauma sets off the natural wound healing cascade.  The Morpheus 8 microneedling process is more intense in that it delivers radiofrequency through these tiny channels to the skin’s deepest layers with each pulse.  And, because it is working at such a deep layer, there is little to no thermal damage to the skin.  Morpheus 8 is also unique in that is can be used on all skin tones.

There are a number of microneedling options on the market.  However, medical microneedling, in general, takes this procedure one step further as it has been cleared by the FDA and has proven, consistent results through clinical trials.  Patients have noted significant improvements in signs of aging and remarkable change in the texture and depth of acne scars.  It has also been noted that medical microneedling, as compared to microneedling pens, for example, results in a more complete, uniform and deeper treatment.

What to Expect on Treatment Day

This is a minimally invasive treatment with little to no downtime.  Some patients describe the treatment as an intense tweezing session.  Directly after the treatment, patients may notice redness, pinpoint bleeding and some bruising.  Within 48 hours the patient will notice a nice resolution of any of these side effects.

Treatment time varies and can take anywhere between 30-50 minutes depending on the area treated.  Be prepared to arrive one hour before your appointment to apply for a topical pain killer.  This technology can be used on most body parts with the most popular being the lower face and neck.

Studies show the best results come after three treatments one month apart.
