Avoid Certain Medications and Supplements

• Blood Thinners: Discontinue medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) at least 5 to 7 days before the treatment. This can help minimize the risk of bruising.
• Supplements: Avoid herbal supplements like ginkgo biloba, garlic, fish oil, and Vitamin E, as they can also increase the risk of bruising. Stop taking them for 5 to 7 days before your appointment.
• Prescription Medications: If you take blood thinners or other prescription medications, consult with Dr. Faulkner to discuss whether you should stop them prior to the procedure.

Avoid Alcohol

Don’t Use Makeup Immediately

• Wait 12 to 24 hours before applying makeup to the treated area to reduce the risk of irritation or infection.

Be Gentle with Skin Care

• Use gentle, non-irritating skincare products for a few days following your treatment. Avoid products with active ingredients like retinol, glycolic acid, or exfoliants for 5 to 7 days after the procedure.

Sleep Position

• Try to sleep on your back with your head elevated for the first few nights to minimize swelling. Avoid pressing your face into the pillow, which can put pressure on the filler and cause uneven results.

Hydration
